The petitioner, who is in custody since 30.10.2019, seeks bail in connection with Banmankhi P.S. Case No. 280 of 2019 dated 29.10.2019 instituted for the offences under Sections 379/411 of the Indian Penal Code.

The petitioner is said to have attempted to steal the tractor of the informant.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner and the informant are co-villagers and because of a prior dispute, this allegation has been levelled against the petitioner.

The petitioner has clean antecedent.

Considering the nature of accusation against

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.11130 of 2020(2) dt.28-02-2020 2/2 the petitioner and his period of custody, he is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Purnea in connection with Banmankhi P.S. Case No. 280 of 2019.
