2. The petitioner in paragraph no. 1 of the present writ petition has sought, inter alia, following relief(s), which is reproduced hereinafter:- "(i). For issuance of an appropriate writ/s, order/s or direction/s, especially in the nature of writ of Mandamus, directing and commanding the respondent(s) concerned to ensure the payment of family pension and also the payment of death-cum-retirement benefits amount if any as the petitioner is the legally married wife of the deceased employee Mohammad Aslam, who had superannuated from

Patna High Court CWJC No.3191 of 2026(4) dt.16-07-2026 2/2 the post of S/C, Electric Supply Division, Bhabhua and who died on 17.07.2025 at the age of 79 years 6 months and the petitioner Sakila Khatoon, being the legally married wife had performed the last rites of her deceased husband Md. Aslam.

(ii). To direct the respondent authorities to submit the report after conducting the enquiry, as and on what circumstances, the name of respondent no.7 Saina Begum has been entered in the PPO No.17 dated 28.01.2006 as wife of the deceased employee at the place of the petitioner and also direct suitable action against the responsible persons. (iii). During pendency of this writ petition, the respondent authorities may be directed to pay the interim maintenance amount to the petitioner being the legally married wife, as her name has already been mentioned as nominee of Md. Aslam in contributory provident fund account No.J.Y. 3640. (iv). Any other relief/reliefs for which the petitioner would be found entitled to by this Hon'ble High Court in the facts and circumstances of the case.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and respondent no.7 submitted that now good sense has prevailed between the petitioner and the respondent no.7, as such, they want to settle the dispute amicably outside the court with the intervention of their family members and well-wishers.

4. The writ petition, accordingly, stands disposed of with liberty to the parties to proceed in accordance with law to finally set rest to the dispute.
