Having regard to the fact that the petitioner was an applicant for a post advertised by Assam Rifles and the entire selection process has also been conducted in the State of Assam/ Nagaland, this Court does not find the present writ application to be maintainable due to lack of territorial jurisdiction. When such an observation has been made learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw this application in order to enable the petitioner to move the competent forum/ court for redressal of the grievances raised herein. This application is, accordingly, permitted to be withdrawn with the aforementioned liberty.
