Learned counsel for the petitioner admits that trial has commenced and certain witnesses have been examined. Considering the aforesaid, the application for grant of bail is rejected for the time being. However, the trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same within a period of nine months.

The petitioner shall be at liberty to renew his prayer for bail after nine months if the trial is not concluded within the aforesaid period.
