2. The petitioner was a candidate for examination of Intermediate (Science) in Sessions 2018-2020. The roll number issued in the admit card for practical paper vide Annexure-2 was correct one; whereas wrong roll number was printed on the admit card issued for theory paper examination vide Annexure-3.

3. Annexures-2 and 3 were issued under signature of respondent No.5 and respondent No.8 i.e., the Examination Controller (Senior Secondary), Bihar School Examination Board, Patna, and the Principal, K. N. Sharma Higher Secondary School, Faizullahpur, Anchal Baikunthpur, DistrictGopalganj.
4. Due to wrong mention of the roll number the petitioner could not appear in the theory examination. However, it has been informed that in the month of February, 2021 petitioner has already appeared in the special examination conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board.

The petitioner has brought this writ application under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of mandamus against the respondents to produce the Registration Certificate, copies of the Practical Examination and attendance sheets and Bar Code of the Intermediate Examination Sessions 2018-2020 besides issuance of a command to the respondents to take special examination of the petitioner and compensation etc. has also been sought for, for the loss of time due to the negligence of the respondents.
6. Since the petitioner has already appeared in the examination in February, 2021 the main grievance of the

The Chairman, Bihar School Examination Board, shall conduct an inquiry fixing responsibility of the person who were responsible for printing the admit card with wrong roll number which prevented the petitioner from appearing in the examination on time and the Chairman shall take appropriate action against the erring officer/staff.
7. With the aforesaid observation, the writ application stands disposed of.
