The petitioner has been in custody since 09.10.2017 in connection with Halsi P.S. Case No. 93 of 2017 for the offence registered under Sections 387, 307, 153, 153(A) and 120(B) of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that only on the basis of suspicion, the petitioner has been taken into custody. It is further submitted that save and except the present case, the petitioner has been made an accused in Halsi P.S. Case No. 131 of 2012, in which, the petitioner is on bail.
