2. The present petition has been preferred for the following relief/s:

(i) for issuance of appropriate writ/order or direction commanding the Respondents to hand over the lands in possession of the petitioners who are scheduled caste and landless persons and 'purcha' in their names have been issued under section 44(2) of the Land Ceiling Act as contained in Annexure-1 series to this writ application;

(ii) for issuance of appropriate writ/order or direction to provide appropriate protection to the petitioners in taking the land in their possession and also in utilizing the same;

(iii) for any other relief or reliefs for which petitioner is found entitled in the opinion.

3. The claim of the petitioners is that though 'Purchas' were extended to them, actual possession has still eluded.

4. As usual, there is no counter affidavit of the State.

5. Instead of keeping the case pending which has already remained pending for nine years, the writ petition is disposed of allowing the petitioners to individually approach the District Magistrate cum the Collector, Sheohar (respondent no.2) in next four weeks who shall be taking of the matter and dispose it of preferably by 31.03.2026.

6. The writ petition is disposed of with the aforesaid observation.
