The petitioner seeks bail in anticipation of his arrest in connection with Barauli P.S. Case No. 429/2019 dated 19.12.2019 instituted for the offences under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2018.

It appears that on the information provided by the Chowkidar that the petitioner is moving with a consignment of liquor, an attempt was made to nab him.

He was identified to be the petitioner by the local Chowkidar. From the thrown bag 13.500 litres of liquor is said to have been recovered. It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he has no criminal antecedent and has been made accused in this case because of the machination of local persons including the Chowkidar. Considering the aforesaid aspects of the matter, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the court below within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt / production of a copy of this order, on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional District and Sessions Judge -II -cum-Special Judge, Excise, Gopalganj in connection with Barauli P.S. Case No.
