JUSTICE SANJEEV PRAKASH SHARMA ORAL ORDER 20-04-2023 The petitioner, by way of this writ petition, has prayed as under:- "1. That this is an application for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari to quash the electric consumption bill dated 01.11.2022 and 16.12.2022 whereas charges Rs. 2,748.20 and Rs. 1,823.20. But Respondents are charged and find Bill Rs. 5,174.00 and Rs. 7,626.00 that the single hey always tortured the petitioner to pay extra Bill who send by the

Petitioner meet with the Respondent personally and sending of him representation/petition. But authority concerned sitting tight over the matter and they not corrected the bill and also sent every month three to five thousand extra bill. For which the petitioner may be found legally entitled to in the facts and circumstances stated hereunder."

Since, an alternative remedy is available to the petitioner to approach the Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum, formed under Section 42(5) of the Electricity Act, which is functioning in the State of Bihar, the petitioner is granted liberty to approach the said forum for redressal of his grievance. If such an application is moved, the concerned forum shall decide the same expeditiously within a period of thirty days of its filing.

3. Granting such liberty to the petitioner, the present application is dismissed.
