No one however appears for the respondents despite service of copy of writ petition on Mr. Vinaykeerti Singh, learned Counsel for Respondents way back on 15.4.2014.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the prayer of the petitioner, who had retired from the service of the then Bihar State Electricity Board on 31.8.2006, is for extension of benefit of 6th Pay Revision Committee Report by way of payment of revised retirement benefit. Learned counsel for the petitioner however has not enclosed any decision of the Board adopting the aforementioned pay scale of the State Government. In view of the fact that the Board while it was in existence

Patna High Court CWJC No.7767 of 2014 (2) dt.18-02-2015 before its being dissolved and replaced by the Company had always its own pay scale in the light of its own Pay Revision Committee, this Court would find it difficult to issue any direction to the Respondents for revising the retirement benefit of the petitioner on the basis of the Government decision of revising pay scale as per recommendation of the 6th Pay Revision Committee. Nonetheless if the petitioner is entitled for any revised retirement benefit as per any decision of the erstwhile Board he may approach the authorities of the company which has now succeeded the Board and such claim of the petitioner thereafter will be decided by the competent authority of the company in accordance with law.

With the aforementioned observation and direction, this application is disposed of.
