Petitioner, already in custody, seeks bail in connection with Bodh-Gaya P.S. Case No.683 of 2017, registered under Section 406 of the Indian Penal Code as well as under Section 7 of the E.C. Act.

Allegation is that 11 quintals of rice was recovered from the pick-up van driven by the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the rice was loaded by one Ranjeet Kumar and the vehicle is also owned by him though the petitioner is the driver and asked by Ranjeet Kumar to transport the rice to Bodh Gaya, so the petitioner has no concern with the rice and he has no criminal antecedent. Having considered the said facts and circumstances,

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.13015 of 2018(2) dt.06-03-2018 2/2 petitioner Manoj Singh is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned CJM, Gaya in connection with Bodh-Gaya P.S. Case No.683 of 2017.
