1. Heard learned counsel for the parties.

2. The petitioner has filed the instant application for grant of regular bail in connection with Barachatti P.S. Case no. 171 of 2014 registered under sections 18, 20 and 22 of the N.D.P.S. Act.

3. As per the prosecution case, 42 kgs of ganja was recovered from the house of the petitioner.

4.It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the allegation as levelled in the F.I.R. are false and concocted. No incriminating article has been recovered from the possession of the petitioner or from his house. The petitioner has no criminal antecedent and is in custody since 11.11.2022.

5. The application for bail is opposed by learned A.P.P. for the State.

6. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and

No.13344 of 2023(7) dt.01-11-2023 2/2 taking into consideration the recovery of 42 kgs of ganja from the house of the petitioner together with the petitioner having absconded for more than eight years, the Court is not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail and the application is rejected.
