Let the defect(s) be removed within two weeks of the complete start of the physical Court in normal course. Petitioner, who is in custody since 11.06.2020, seeks regular bail in connection with Jaynagar P.S. Case No. 133 of 2020 registered for offences punishable under Sections 279, 427, 332 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 25(1-b)A/26 of the Arms Act.
Allegation is of recovery of one country-made pistol and four live cartridges from the possession of the petitioner who is in custody since 11.06.2020.
Having heard the parties, without going into the merits of the case, taking into consideration the criminal
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.24067 of 2021(9) dt.30-03-2022 2/2 antecedent of the petitioner against whom several cases are pending, it will not be in the interest of public at large to release the petitioner on bail at this stage. I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail.
The trial Court is directed to conclude the trial expeditiously within a period of four months. If no substantial progress takes place in conduct of trial, the petitioner, if so advised, may renew his prayer for bail after the aforesaid period.
