JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 11-07-2025 At the outset, the learned counsel for the opposite party No. 3 i.e. the Principal Chief Conservator of Forest Environment, Forest and Climate Change Department, Government of Bihar, Patna submits that the opposite party no. 3 has already passed a reasoned order dated 9.4.2021 in compliance of the order of this Court dated 27.2.2020, passed in

Patna High Court MJC No.883 of 2021(4) dt.11-07-2025 2/2 CWJC No. 3431 of 2020.

At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the opposite party no. 3 has passed an erroneous order dated 9.4.2021 only in order to overcome the implication of the order passed by this Court on 27.2.2020, directing that in case the time limit is not adhered for disposal of the claim of the petitioner, the admitted outstanding dues would carry interest at the rate of 9 per cent per annum from the date the same had become due. Nonetheless, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to challenge the aforesaid order dated 9.4.2021, however also seeks liberty to raise the question of payment of interest in case admitted outstanding dues is found payable by the concerned Court, upon his challenge to the aforesaid order dated 9.4.2021 being successful. Liberty, so sought, is granted.

Accordingly, the present contempt petition stands disposed off.
