JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR ORAL ORDER 31-05-2017 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned counsel for the informant and learned counsel for the State. The petitioner seeks bail in a case instituted under Sections 498A/323/341/354(A)/307/34 of the Indian Penal Code. The prosecution case, in brief, is that the informant was married with the son of the petitioner but after the death of her husband, the petitioner along with his family members started subjecting cruelty upon her in various ways and tried to kill her by pouring kerosene oil.
It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the petitioner is in custody since 20.04.2017. The petitioner has got no criminal antecedent. There is no allegation of tampering of witnesses alleged against the petitioner. The petitioner is father-
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.24785 of 2017 (2) dt.31-05-2017 2/2 in-law of the informant. It is further submitted that there is general and omnibus allegation attributed against the petitioner. The injury sustained by the informant is said to be simple in nature.
On behalf of the State and the counsel for the informant, it has been submitted that the petitioner is named in the F.I.R.
Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances, let the petitioner above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned S.D.J.M., Jamui, in connection with Jhajha P.S.
