JUSTICE VIKASH JAIN ORAL JUDGMENT (Per: HONOURABLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE) Date: 23-11-2016 The petitioner has invoked the writ jurisdiction of this Court for commanding the respondents to install and maintain Closed Circuit Television with rotating cameras (CCTV cameras) in every corridor, room and lock up to all police stations in terms of recommendations of the Law Commission of India vide its Report No. 239.

Learned counsel for the State states that the Government has decided in principle to install the CCTV cameras in all the police stations, but the actual installation will take time, which

In view thereof, we do not find that any further direction is called for. However, we hope that the State Government shall complete the installation of CCTV cameras in a time bound manner within two years.
