Keeping in mind the stand of the Economic Offences Wing, who are reluctant to take any responsibility in this regard and if the State is confident that the matter can be investigated and taken to its logical end by the District Police, let it be done, accordingly. However, looking at the significant magnitude and the geographical area where such modus operandi has been adopted by the son of the petitioner namely, Suman Kant Sinha as well as the connivance of the petitioner, since her account has been used for such transfers, the Court will not pass any order against the steps taken by the respondents in freezing such account.

Patna High Court CWJC No.4148 of 2016 dt.20-05-2016 2/2 The Senior Superintendent of Police, Patna as well as Deputy Inspector General of Police, Patna is directed to take cognizance of the case, which are Daniawan P.S. Case No. 67 of 2015, Alamganj P.S. Case No. 164 of 2015, Danapur P.S. Case No. 349 of 2015 and Paliganj P.S. Case No. 131 of 2015 and personally supervise the investigation and ensure that the investigation is taken to its logical conclusion and all the culprits are brought to book. This direction has been specially passed in view of the nature of the crime. Supervision of superior officers is needed in such matter so that there is no slackening at the level of the Investigating Officers who may be slack for many a reasons including work pressure etc. not to vigorously pursue such matters.

The writ application is dismissed. Copy of the order will be communicated by the State Counsel to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Patna as well as Deputy Inspector General of Police, Patna for the needful.

Writ is dismissed.
