2. The petitioner has prayed for regular bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under sections 07, 7(a), 08 and 12 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

3. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner who is a police official was found consuming liquor and taking Rs. 1000/- from an unknown person in a video footage. The video footage was shown to the 'dafadar' and 'chowkidar' who identified the petitioner. It is further alleged that where he was consuming liquor is the house of this petitioner. Hence the present case.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.12540 of 2025(2) dt.19-03-2025 2/2 connection with the present case. It is further submitted that the only allegation against this petitioner is that he consumed liquor but the bribe was offered by third person. He has no concern with the bribe. Further submission is that petitioner have 11 criminal antecedents but out of three were filed on the same day. Moreover, the petitioner is languishing in judicial custody since 11.12.2024.

5. Learned APP appearing for the state has opposed the prayer of regular bail.

6. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, this court is inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. The above named petitioner is directed to be released on bail in connection with Nakardei P.S. Case No. 12 of 2024 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge, Vigilance Court, North Bihar, Muzuffarpur.
