This writ application has been filed after service of two advance copies on 08.12.2016 to the office of learned Advocate General, but unfortunately even after more than one year, no counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of respondents. The matter relates to compassionate appointment. The mother of the petitioner died in harness on 23.06.2010. We are in 2018 and the respondents are sitting tight over the claim of the petitioner for compassionate appointment. Learned counsel for the petitioner has drawn the

Patna High Court CWJC No.19687 of 2016 (2) dt.05-02-2018 2/2 attention of this Court to Annexures-P/5 to P/7 to indicate that correspondence are going on between the District Programme Officer (Establishment), Patna and the other officials of the Education Department, but till date they have not taken any final decision.

In view of the above, the writ application is disposed of with a direction to the respondent District Programme Officer (Establishment), Patna to take final decision in the matter of compassionate appointment of the petitioner expeditiously preferably within a period of two months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
