Petitioner seeks bail in connection with Raghunathpur P.S. Case No. 36 of 2019 registered under section 307 and other allied sections of the Indian Penal Code to which section 302 was added later on. Petitioner has earlier moved this Court for grant of bail in Cr. Misc. No. 15127 of 2020 which was rejected vide order dated 03.03.2020 (Annexure-1).

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that petitioner has been rotting in judicial custody since 24.10.2019 and the trial of the case is not likely to be concluded in near future.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.16438 of 2022(3) dt.11-05-2022 2/2 Learned Addl. P.P. appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that there is no fresh ground warranting reconsideration of the prayer for bail of the petitioner.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions advanced on behalf of the parties, I do not feel inclined to grant bail to the petitioner as there is no fresh ground for reconsideration of the prayer for bail. The prayer for bail is, accordingly, rejected.

However, the trial court is directed to expedite the trial of the case and conclude it expeditiously preferably within a period of six months.
