2. The grievance of the petitioner is that Biometric system of recording attendance should be installed in the Patna and Magadh Universities.

3. In the counter affidavit filed by Under Secretary, Education Department on 19th of February, 2016, it has been inter alia

Patna High Court CWJC No.1436 of 2015 dt.20-01-2017 2/2 pointed out that as per the suggestion by the University Grants Commission, the State is committed to provide Biometric way of marking students' attendance, both for the purpose of class and hostel attendance.

4. Since the State is committed to provide Biometric system of attendance, we do not find that any further direction is called for. The State shall provide such system as and when finance is available to it as per its priority.
