The petitioner, in the present case, is seeking regular bail in connection with Bhagwan Bazar P.S. Case No.480 of 2017, registered for offences alleged under Sections 384 and 385 of the Indian Penal Code.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a member of the Home Guard Police and the allegation against him is that in the night hours on duty he was collecting money illegally from the vehicles. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has no criminal antecedent and a sum of Rs.600/- is said to have been recovered from the petitioner which belongs to him. Learned counsel for the State is present.
