JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 10-10-2022 The short facts of the case are that the petitioner had applied for transfer of arms license which was issued in the name of his deceased father, before the Collector, Patna, however, the same was rejected by an order dated 29.06.2013, passed by the District Magistrate, Patna. The petitioner had then challenged the same before the Divisional Commissioner, Patna in Arms Appeal Case no. 640 of 2013 which was allowed vide order dated 26.04.2016, passed by the learned court of Divisional Commissioner in Arms Appeal No. 640 of 2013 and the matter was remanded back to the District Magistrate, Patna, however, no final decision has been taken upon the case of the

Patna High Court CWJC No.4431 of 2020(2) dt.10-10-2022 2/2 petitioner for transfer of arms license by the District Magistrate, Patna. In such view of the matter, it is prayed that the District Magistrate, Patna be directed to dispose off the aforesaid case of the petitioner for transfer of arms license.

Accordingly, the present writ petition stands disposed off, however, with a direction to the District Magistrate, Patna to dispose off the pending case of the petitioner for transfer of arms license by passing the final order, if not already passed, within a period of eight weeks of receipt/ production of a copy of this order.
