(i) For issuance of Writ in nature of Certiorari for quashing the selection of Vicky Kumar- Respondent No.8 for the post of Junior Engineer,
Patna High Court CWJC No.4104 of 2022(2) dt.16-01-2024 2/3 Assistant IV (P & U) bearing Post Code 202 and Roll No.202035 in OBC category by Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Barauni Refinery, Barauni (Refineries Division) pursuant to Advt. No.BR/HR/ RECTT/OR/2021-22.
(ii) For direction to the Respondent Indian Oil Corporation to finally select the petitioner OBS category in place of Respondent No.8 after revising Selection List as the petitioner is holding requisite academic qualification with Apprenticeship Training in Boiler Trade and Boiler Competency Certificate (II Class) whereas the Respondent No.8 neither obtained the required Certificate of Apprenticeship Training in Boiler Trade nor Boiler Competency Certificate (II Class).
(iii) For to hold and declare that the Respondent No.8 does hold not the requisite qualification Training in Boiler Trade and Boiler Competency Certificate to be selected for the post of Junior Engineering Assistant-IV (P & U)."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the
Patna High Court CWJC No.4104 of 2022(2) dt.16-01-2024 3/3 petitioner to avail such other alternative remedies as are otherwise available under the law, for redressal of the aforesaid grievances. Liberty, so sought, is granted.

The writ petition stands dismissed as not pressed.
