The petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in connection with Chhatauni P.S. Case No. 116 of 2014 registered for the offences punishable under sections 406 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code.

According to the FIR, the petitioner, an employee of Magma Fincarp Limited, collected Rs.7,30,766/- from 33 customers of Bettiah region and did not deposit the amount with the company in question. In course of investigation, several witnesses have corroborated the prosecution case. Regard being had to the serious nature of allegation,

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.2166 of 2015 (3) dt.19-08-2015 2/2 I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected. In case, the petitioner surrenders and seeks bail, the same shall be considered on its own merit without being prejudiced by the order of this Court.
