This is an appeal under Section 14(A)(2) of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 against the refusal of prayer for bail by the learned Additional Sessions Judge-III-cum-Special Judge (S.C./S.T. Act), Muzaffarpur, in connection with Katra Police Station Case No.47 of 2018 registered under Sections 323/504/363/366A/506/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3(i)(r)(s) of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.

Considering the nature of allegation of commission of offence against a minor girl, I am not inclined to enlarge the

Patna High Court CR. APP (SJ) No.1891 of 2021(2) dt.06-07-2021 2/2 appellant on bail. Hence, the prayer for bail is refused. Learned counsel for the appellant informs that informant has filed a compromise petition in this matter. The learned trial Judge shall expedite the conclusion of trial preferably within three months. If needed; the District Judge shall ensure that this case be heard in the physical Court if the parties cooperate in bringing prosecution witness on the date fixed.

Accordingly, the appeal stands rejected.
