Mr. Dhananjay Kumar, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, submits that the petitioner was validly appointed on the post of Panchayat Teacher in the year 2006. He is regularly working and he was paid salary up to November, 2015 and without assigning any reason, suddenly the salary of the petitioner was stopped by the respondents. He submits that the appointment of the petitioner is legal and valid and the petitioner is regularly discharging his duties as Panchayat Teacher and as such, there is no justification in denying the

Patna High Court CWJC No.17287 of 2016(2) dt.12-02-2018 2/2 salary to the petitioner. Since the writ petition is pending since 17.10.2016, no counter affidavit filed on behalf of the respondents.

In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Respondent No. 2, District Programme Officer, Establishment, Jehanabad, to verify the record and if it is found the appointment of the petitioner is legal and valid and the petitioner has discharged his duties as Panchayat Teacher, Respondent No. 2, District Programme Officer, Establishment, Jehanabad, shall ensure the payment of salary of the petitioner with arrears within a maximum period of 60 days from the date of receipt / production of a copy of this order.
