Patna High Court CWJC No.4078 of 2022 dt.20-06-2022 2/3 Heard Mr. Amrendra Kumar, the learned Advocate for the petitioner and Mr. Vishambhar Prasad, the learned counsel for the State.

2. The present petition has been directed against the decision of the licensing authority, whereby license to run the P.D.S. shop has been granted to private respondent No. 7, who, according to the information of the petitioner, is not a resident of the concerned locality/Gram Panchayat.

3. Thus, it has been urged on behalf of the petitioner that without proper verification of the address of the private respondent No. 7, her application for grant of license has been acceded to.

4. However, it has been submitted by the learned counsel for the State that the petitioner was not an aspirant for being granted license.

5. In any view of the matter, this petition could only be in the nature of a public interest litigation.

6. All that the petitioner would be interested in is that in his locality/Gram Panchayat, there should be an

Patna High Court CWJC No.4078 of 2022 dt.20-06-2022 3/3 agency of the Public Distribution System. Who gets the license is none of the concern of the petitioner unless he agitates the matter in public interest, which is not the case here.

7. In view of the aforesaid circumstance, we do not feel inclined to entertain this petition.

8. The petition is dismissed.
