1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners, learned A.P.P. for the State and learned counsel for the informant.

Learned counsel for the informant, at the outset, submits that the matter has been compromised in between the petitioners and the informant i.e. opposite party no. 2 herein and the informant does not intend to pursue with the instant case i.e. Paroo P.S. Case No. 145 of 2015. It is further submitted that the informant does not have any objection if the order dated 28.10.2015, passed by the learned S.D.J.M., West, Muzaffarpur, in connection with Paroo P.S. Case No. 145 of 2015, Tr. No. 4016 of 2015, whereby cognizance under Section 498-A of the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.13418 of 2016(3) dt.06-09-2023 2/2 Indian Penal Code read with Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act has been taken, is quashed.

Since the dispute is purely matrimonial and the parties have entered into a compromise and the informant does not intend to pursue the matter any further, as such, the order dated 28.10.2015, passed by the learned S.D.J.M., West, Muzaffarpur, in connection with Paroo P.S. Case No. 145 of 2015, Tr. No. 4016 of 2015, whereby cognizance under Section 498-A of the Indian Penal Code read with Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act has been taken, is hereby quashed.

4. Accordingly, this application is allowed.
