JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 16-05-2024 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "1.That, this is an application for issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ or writs directing the respondents to grant Arms license to the petitioner, who is head priest of Mahendra Nath Temple Mehandar for which he has applied before the respondent no.2, which is pending for more than one year."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks a direction upon the District Magistrate, Siwan to dispose off the pending application of the petitioner, filed on 02.04.2022

Patna High Court CWJC No.4677 of 2024(2) dt.16-05-2024 2/2 for grant of arms license.

Per contra, the learned counsel for the respondent-State submits that in case any such application filed by the petitioner; for grant of arms license, is still pending, the same would definitely be disposed off within a stipulated time frame, as is fixed by this Court.

Having regard to the limited prayer made by the petitioner, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Siwan to dispose off the aforesaid application filed by the petitioner for grant of arms license, in case the same has actually been filed and is still pending consideration, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
