2. The petitioner has approached this Court for a direction to the respondent authorities to take a final decision on the appointment of the petitioner on the post of Chowkidar on compassionate ground as his father had already applied for voluntary retirement and the case of the

Patna High Court CWJC No.5950 of 2019 dt.17-04-2019 2/3 petitioner had been recommended for such consideration by the concerned Committee, which has sought on certain information regarding position from Police (Home) Department.

3. The learned Advocate for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner would be satisfied if a direction is given to the concerned respondent to obtain the requisite information and pass a final order with respect to the fate of the petitioner within a specified period.

4. The aforesaid prayer of the petitioner appears to be reasonable.

5. Since the case of the petitioner has already been recommended and a decision with respect to appointment on the post of Chowkidar on compassionate ground is pending consideration for want of certain information, which has been sought for, it is only in the fitness of things that the concerned respondent be and is directed to seek such information at the earliest, so that a final decision could be taken with respect to the petitioner.

6. For the purposes of reminding the concerned

Patna High Court CWJC No.5950 of 2019 dt.17-04-2019 3/3 respondent for making correspondence with the Home (Police) Department for such information as desired by the Committee, the petitioner is directed to file a letter of reminder, annexing a copy of this order, before the concerned authority, within a period of two weeks from today. Necessary steps in that regard shall be taken by the concerned respondent within a further period of four weeks thereafter. No sooner the desired information is received by the Committee dealing with the appointment of Chowkidars on compassionate ground, necessary order/s shall be passed in accordance with law.

7. With the aforesaid observation/direction, the writ petition stands disposed off.
