JUSTICE RAJEEV RANJAN PRASAD ORAL ORDER (Per: HONOURABLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE) 12-04-2018 Challenging the conviction of the sole appellant Chamru Bind who has filed this Appeal calling in question the judgment and order dated 17th August, 1994 passed in Sessions Case No.47 of 1993 by which the petitioner has been convicted for life imprisonment under Section 302/149 of IPC finding that at the time when the judgment was pronounced in the year 1994, the appellant was about 75 years of age. We had directed the authorities of the State Government to communicate upon whether the appellant Chamru Bind is stillalive or not. In pursuance of the order dated 29.03.2018, we have received a report from the office of Superintendent of Police, Munger dated 3.4.2018 placed at flag 'X' that the sole appellant has died more than five years ago.
