The short prayer made by the petitioner in the present writ petition is to direct the District Magistrate, Patna to dispose off the application, filed by the petitioner on 23.06.2022, for grant of arms licence, within a fixed time frame. 2.

The learned counsel for the respondent-State submits that in case an application has been filed by the petitioner, for grant of arms licence, and the same is still pending, the same would definitely be disposed off in a fixed time frame.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the

Patna High Court CWJC No.3650 of 2023(2) dt.19-09-2023 2/2 case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate/District Arms Magistrate, Patna to dispose off the application filed by the petitioner, for grant of arms licence, in case the same has been filed and is still pending, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order. 4.

The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
