The petitioner, who is a practicing advocate, has lodged Mahila Thana Police Station Case No.

46 of 2015 alleging commission of offences, under Sections 376/420/504/506/34 of the Indian Penal Code, by three accused persons but the investigation, according to the petitioner, is not being conducted properly and, on the other hand, the accused persons are threatening and intimidating the petitioner to withdraw the case. Having considered the averments made in the writ petition and materials on record and upon hearing the parties, it is hereby directed that respondent No.

Patna High Court Cr. WJC No.263 of 2016 (2) dt.18-04-2016 2/2 effective investigation to the case. The respondent No.3, namely, Senior Superintendent of Police, Patna, shall enquire into the grievances raised in the writ petition and do the needful in accordance with law expeditiously, preferably, within a period of six months, ensuring proper, fair and effective investigation in such a way that no innocent person is harassed. With the aforesaid observations and directions, this writ petition stands disposed of.
