Mr. Shahi, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that petitioner's entitlement in terms of letter dated 30-06-2015, bearing Memo No. 4475 issued by the Home (Police) Department is pending.

Copy of the letter has been handed over to the

Patna High Court CWJC No.3918 of 2023 dt.31-08-2023 2/3 Court and is being retained in the records. From bare perusal of the same, it is obvious that having regard to the nature of duties being discharged by the members of the police force, even on holidays, honorarium equivalent to 1 month salary is being paid on completion of 1 year of service. It is this claim, which the petitioner has been deprived of, as per submission of the petitioner's counsel.

Learned counsel for the State has submitted that he is under instructions by the Superintendent of Police (A) that the petitioner's claim is in process, in which, he has been instructed to take 20 days adjournment. The letter is dated 22-08-2023. 5.

Since the claim is under process and no adjudication is called for at the moment, the parties agree that the matter need not be kept pending. For processing the said claim and other claims, which have been raised by way of the instant writ proceedings, the Superintendent of Police (A), Special Branch, Bihar, Patna (respondent No. 5) is directed to conclude the process within four weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order and pass a reasoned and speaking order, in respect of the petitioner's claim/s. The amounts found due and admissible are also required to be paid within four weeks, thereafter.
