JUSTICE ARUN KUMAR ORAL ORDER 14-03-2018 Heard learned counsels for the petitioners and the State. The petitioners, already in custody, seek bail in connection with Bihta P.S.Case No. 524 of 2017 registered under Sections 302/201 of the Indian penal Code.

Allegation in brief is that husband and other family members used to torture and harass the daughter of the informant for giving Rs. One lac and ultimately after killing, her dead body was disposed of.

Submission is that there is no allegation of making any demand of dowry and petitioners are father-in-law and brother of the husband of the deceased and they are labourers and living in Patna and not in village.

Whereas learned counsel for the State submits that dead

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.10313 of 2018 (3) dt.14-03-2018 2/2 body was found after three days and post-mortem report reveals that extensive burn injury was found and dead body was thrown in the Sone river.

Having considered the aforesaid facts and circumstances, the prayer for bail of the petitioners is rejected. Trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same preferably within a year after framing of charging. If trial is not concluded within stipulated period, petitioners may renew their prayer of bail.
