Mr. Atul Kumar Pandey, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioner nos.1 to 3 have not been paid the G.P.F. amount for the year 1978-79 to 1991-92 and petitioner no.4 has not been paid the G.P.F. amount for the year
Patna High Court CWJC No.4957 of 2020(2) dt.25-06-2020 2/2 1977-78 to 1991-92 with statutory interest while they were working as Work charge employee. He further submits that for the rest period, the respondents have paid the legitimate dues. Considering the aforesaid, the writ application is disposed of with a direction to respondent no.7 (District Provident Fund Officer, Buxar) to take appropriate decision with regard to payment of GPF amount to petitioners as indicated hereinabove within a maximum period of four months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. . In the process of finalization of payment of Provident fund, the Executive Engineer, Flood Control Division, Water Resources Department, Buxar is required to provide necessary information so that the payment of entire GPF dues is paid to the petitioners within the time frame indicated hereinabove, failing which, the petitioners shall be entitled to payment of interest at the rate of 9% per annum from the date of filing of writ petition till the date of actual payment.
