====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE ARUN KUMAR ORAL ORDER 13-04-2018 Heard learned counsels for the petitioners and the State. The petitioners, already in custody, seek bail in connection with Raniganj P.S.Case No. 394 of 2017 registered under Sections 147, 148, 341, 342, 307, 384, 504 and 506 of the Indian penal Code and 3 and 4 of the Prevention of Witch (Daain) Practices Act, 1999.

Allegation in brief is that sister-in-law of the informant was living with him so villagers protested and in the night they assaulted with various arms and hot iron rod to the informant's wife after getting her naked and called Daain.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.6885 of 2018(5) dt.13-04-2018 2/2 Submission is that there is no specific allegation rather there is general and omnibus allegation against all the petitioners and 18 persons have been made accused in this case and the petitioners have been in custody for last six months. Whereas learned counsel for the informant submits that allegation of beating with hot iron rod is against petitioner nos. 1, 3, 4 and 6.

Having considered the aforesaid facts and circumstances, the petitioners, namely , (I) Manju Murmu @ Manju Murmur,

(2) Manglu Murmu @ Manglu Murmur, (3) Anand Murmu @ Anand Murmur, (4) Ajay Membram @ Ajay Hembrani, (5) Babu Lal Hembram @ Babulal Hebram and (6) Shakaldev Murmu @ Sakaldev Murmur, are directed to be released on bail upon furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned SDJM, Araria in connection with Raniganj P.S.
