The petitioners seek bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under Sections 302, 120(B)/34 of the IPC. Vide order dated 18.05.2022, a report was called for, regarding the stage of trial. In compliance thereof, a report sent by learned Additional District and Sessions Judge-IV, Bhagalpur dated 24.05.2022, is kept at flag 'R', whereby it is submitted that out of seven charge sheet witnesses, three witnesses have been examined and the time likely to be taken in conclusion of the trial is about nine months.

Considering the submissions made in the report, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner named above. The prayer for bail is hereby rejected.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.14021 of 2022(4) dt.22-06-2022 2/2 Accordingly, the bail application is dismissed. However, the trial court is directed to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible on day to day basis, preferably within a period of nine months.
