Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the statutory appeal being E.C. Appeal No.603 of 2018 is pending before the respondent no.2 for last more than one and half years. It is submitted that the statutory period for disposal of appeal is only sixty days.
Learned counsel for the State submits that, in the given facts and circumstances of the case, a direction may be issued to the respondent no.2 to consider, hear and dispose off the appeal within a reasonable time.
