The petitioner seeks pre-arrest bail in connection with Kusheshwar Asthan P. S. Case No. 4 of 2016 registered under Sections 376 and 342 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012. Regard being had to the fact that the petitioner is alleged to have ravished a minor girl aged about 10 years, who has supported the allegation in her statement recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, I am not inclined to grant him pre-arrest bail. Accordingly, his prayer for grant of pre-arrest bail is rejected.
