The petitioner, who is in custody since 22.01.2020, seeks bail in connection with Chapra Town P. S. Case No. 730 of 2019 dated 08.12.2019 instituted for the offence under Sections 30 (a), 41 (i) (ii) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016. 45 litres of locally brewed liquor was found by the side of the road and the petitioner along with others are alleged to have run away from the place of storage at the time of raid.

The petitioner was earlier made an accused in a

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.12665 of 2020(2) dt.06-03-2020 2/2 case in which he is stated to be on bail.

Regard being had to the nature of accusation against the petitioner and his period of custody, he is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000 /- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned 2nd Additional Sessions Judge / Speical Judge, Excise, Saran, Chapra in connection with Chapra Town P. S. Case No. 730 of 2019.

The application stands allowed.
