04. 05.05.2016 The petitioner has filed this writ application for direction to the respondents for payment of his retirement benefit.
The petitioner was appointed as Khalasi in the then Bihar State Electricity Board, Saharsa Electric Supply Division on 22.02.1965 and subsequently the Petitioner retired as Junior Lineman. The petitioner has made prayer for payment of retirement benefit.
Learned counsel for the North Bihar Power Distribution Company Ltd. submits that the payment due towards the retirement benefit has been sanctioned and it is expected that the same would be paid within a period of two
Patna High Court CWJC No.5673 of 2015 (4) dt.05-05-2016 months. A copy of the communication dated 25.04.2016 Executive Engineer, Electric Supply Division, Saharsa, North Bihar Distribution Company Limited, Patna produced by his counsel be kept on record.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that his wife is a cancer patient and as such money is required urgently for her treatment.
In view of the submission of learned counsel for the petitioner that his wife is a cancer patient, this application is disposed of with a direction to the concerned authorities to expedite the payment to enable him to meet her treatment expenses.
It is expected that the amount shall be paid within a period of two months to the petitioner as soon as the authorization of payment is received from the Headquarters. Let a copy of this order be communicated to Respondent Nos. 2, 3 & 6 i.e. Chairman North Bihar Power Distribution Company Ltd., Accountant General, State of Bihar, Patna and Superintending Engineer, Saharsa Electric Supply Division, Saharsa respectively.
