JUSTICE RAVI RANJAN ORAL ORDER 28-03-2016 It is stated in the writ petition that vide order dated 12.06.2014 the District Magistrate-cum-Licensing Authority, Patna rejected the application of the petitioner for grant of arms licence which has been put to challenge in Arms Application No. 09-156 of 2012 and the same is still pending before the Commissioner, Patna since 07.08.2014.

Having regard to the facts and circumstance of this case, this writ application is being disposed of with a direction to the Commissioner, Patna Division (respondent no.2) to dispose of the appeal on its own merit and in accordance with law expeditiously preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order, if the same has already not done.
