The petitioner has been in custody since 12.12.2017 in connection with Bettiah Town P.S. Case No. 900 of 2017 registered for the offences punishable under Section 387/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though it is alleged that the petitioner was drawing money from tempo drivers in an illegal manner, the petitioner is actually an employee of the person who has been entrusted with the collection of money from tempo drivers at the local stand. Taking into consideration such facts and circumstances and that the petitioner has no criminal antecedent,

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.26784 of 2018 (2) dt.18-05-2018 2/2 let the petitioner above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bettiah, West Champaran, in connection with Bettiah Town P.S. Case No. 900 of 2017.
