1. The present MJC application has been filed seeking an extension of time for approaching the concerned Civil Court, as the petitioners could not do so within the stipulated period.

2. It is the specific contention of the

Patna High Court MJC No.745 of 2025(3) dt.02-05-2025 2/3 Learned counsel for the petitioners that as the petitioner No. 1 was bedridden and under continuous medical supervision, and therefore, he could not file the case before the concerned Civil Court for compensation within the stipulated time in terms of the order passed by this Court in CWJC No. 485 of 2017 dated 12.11.2025.

3. In order to support his contentions, the petitioner No. 1 has placed on record his medical certificate issued by Mr. Ramanand Prasad Singh, Bhagalpur, which clearly disclose that the petitioner No. 1 Ashhok Kumar Sharma, S/o late Jai Krishna Sharma, was undergoing treatment for acute hepatitis (Jaundice) from 22.11.2024 to 25.01.2025.

4. Considering the fact that the petitioner No. 1 was suffering from hepatitis (Jaundice) from 22.11.2024 to 25.01.2025, this Court is inclined to extend the time for approaching the concerned Civil Court for compensation by a further period of four weeks from today.

5. With the aforesaid observation, the MJC
