The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Chakiya P.S. Case No. 241 of 2018 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 341, 323, 354 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 8 and 10 of the POCSO Act. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, although it is apparent from the statement made by the victim girl under Section 164 Cr.P.C. before the learned Magistrate that there has been a failed attempt of rape at the behest of the petitioner herein, nonetheless this Court finds that heinous crime was sought to be committed by the petitioner herein, hence this Court is of the opinion that the petitioner is required to remain in custody for a further period of six months.

Accordingly, the bail petition stands disposed off with the aforesaid liberty.
