The petitioners seek quashing of the order dated 25.07.2014, passed by the learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Patna in connection with Patrakar Nagar P. S. Case No. 116 of 2014, whereby cognizance has been taken under Sections 420, 467, 468, 469, 471 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

In the absence of the counsel for the petitioners, this Court has not been made aware about the stage of the case.

In any view of the matter, after having gone

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.16415 of 2015(2) dt.15-05-2019 2/2 through the order impugned as well as materials brought forth in the petition, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the order of cognizance. However, if the petitioners prefer a petition for discharge, if not already filed and disposed off by the competent Court, the same shall be disposed off without being prejudiced with the fact that the present petition has not been entertained by this Court. If the case is pending trial, the trial court would be under an obligation to conclude the same within a reasonable period and as expeditiously as possible, if not already disposed off. With the aforesaid observation / direction, this petition stands disposed off.
