This application for anticipatory bail arises out of K.Hat P.S. Case No. 76 of 2013 for the offence under Sections 419, 420, 467, 468 and 471 of the Indian Penal Code. The First Information Report was registered in 2013. The petitioner appears to have taken steps for grant of anticipatory bail in 2019. There is no apparent reason why the petitioner suddenly apprehends arrest, which he was not apprehending for last six years. Because of his nonappearance before the police, understandably, the investigation must also have been adversely affected.

Because of the aforesaid delay, I am not inclined to grant the petitioner privilege of anticipatory bail. The petitioner is directed to surrender before the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.14073 of 2019(3) dt.12-03-2019 2/2 Court below within a period of four weeks from today and seek regular bail, if so advised. If he does so, his application for regular bail shall be considered by the learned Court below on its own merit without being prejudiced by rejection of present application for grant of anticipatory bail.
