The grievance of the petitioner is that despite application having been filed on 09.10.2014 for grant of firearm licence, no final decision has been taken as yet by the licensing authority though there is already a recommendation by the police authority in favour of the petitioner.

Accordingly, this writ application is being disposed of with a direction to the District Magistrate-cum-Licensing Authority, Patna to take final decision in the matter on its own merit and in accordance with law within a period of four months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
